Meyers Reunion Recap
Hello Family!
I just wanted to tell you all what a great time Matt and I had visiting with you. I take my hat off to mom especially for doing such a great job at planning and feeding us all, and to G.G. for making all this possible. I took a LOT of pictures while we were there, and here's some of my favorites. Love you guys. Thanks for making this time a wonderful and cherished memory.

A whole lotta nothin
Nothing new really happens around here so here's a photo from a while back. Matt's been putting together a 72 hour kit and when he was deciding what kind of MSR camp stove to get he stubbled across a website that explained how to build a camp stove out of beer cans. It was pretty fun watching him build it.
Amazingly, it
actually works.
As for recent news, there's not much. Matt and I are still waiting for our free money from the government. We're thinking we might as well fulfill our civic duty and blow it all. I think we've decided on getting some bikes. We both have our eyes on some Trek bikes so as soon as we get them I'll post some more pictures. Other than that, we're just a couple of working mules doing the same thing every day. Can't wait for next week!!

Jakey's First Cabin Trip

We went to the MacKay cabin this past weekend and had a wonderful time playing games, sleeping in, and enjoying the most beautiful scenery. Jacob had a great time too-- exploring, being outside, and playing with "new" toys. He's walking around furniture more and more now-- I am soo in trouble! :) Enjoy!

More of Tucker's Birthday and More...
And we continue...
Tucker's birthday was fun! We gathered at Nana and Papa's house for cupcakes and presents and family fun.

Karen and Clarissa weren't able to make it, but we all had fun! Tucker couldn't wait to open presents and he got some fun stuff - clothes, trucks, horse stuffed animals, pooh bear phone, etc. Then it was time for cupcakes!
He had a fun birthday!
***
So Sunday was Father's Day (love you Dads!) and we all gathered for a feast at Mom and Dad's house. While dinner was getting set up, Shane had some fun setting up a zipline again, only this one was a bit higher! We were all sweatin' a bit watching him speed down, but he made it!
Afterwards, the kids had fun hanging around!

Then he got all the kids repelling off of the rock wall! He's a pretty fun uncle...
Tucker got to open a few more presents from Grandma and Nana. Hello cool! Thanks you guys!!! Tucker (and Jett) love to play with all the cool toys and look at those amazing books! We sure love you!
All in all it was a great weekend! We're pretty lucky to be around all this family. We had a blast!

Put it to a vote!
A little bird has been chirping in my ear about the security if this blog. As of right now the only people who can post and read this blog are the few who I have invited...that would be all of us. However if anyone else (like extended family or close friends) wanted to see the pictures we've been posting, they can't. I can make it so we don't have to sign in anymore so as anyone who wants to see the blog can just type in the URL and see it. No one but us can post on it but everyone can read it. It won't be on any search engines, so that whoever is reading it has to be told the URL. The reason why I'm getting every one's opinion on it is because on one hand it's easier to not have to sign in every time, and our other family and friends can look as often as they want as long as they know the website address. On the other hand, anyone can read it and I don't know if I would want our pictures oogled at by people we don't know...you never know who would become wise to this blog. Post a comment and let me know!
HULK....SMAAAASHHH!!!!
We had a fun family night last night and for our activity, got these Hulk boxing gloves. They make awesome smashing noises and Hulk quotes and we've been having a lot of fun! Jett has been wearing them most of today and loves the cool sounds!

Sunday Update...
Hello my family. I am LOVING all these pictures and posts!! Its so fun to see updates on all the family that I miss so much. Well, its the same old same around here. Matt and I are still working hard. For the next four weeks, Matt's mom will be staying with us for four days a week. She's a school teacher down in Moscow, so for that she's taking some classes here at NIC (North Idaho Community College). It's gonna take some getting used to having another person around. No more goin' to the poddy with the door open or nothin'! I think it'll be fun though, Martha's fun to be around and it'll be nice to have someone else keep me company other than Matt. Well, love you guys. Thanks for being on board with this whole blog thing. I miss you all a lot and this seems like a great way to stay connected.
Happy Birthday Ava! - 2 Years Old

Wow - She's alreay 2!?! It just gets better and better!
We had a busy day on her birthday. We started early and went to Kiddie Kandids to get her picture taken- which turned out sooo cute! Then I had a meeting - and then it was party time! We have family and friends over for presents and cake and ice cream and Ava had a ball. She loved all of her presents especially the baseball and mitt and the flip-books that Nana made for her. She wants me to sing them to her all through sacrament meeting! Ava is so much fun and we are loving every day with her. What a special birthday celebration!
Her are a few pictures from her big day.

Boy's Campout

Well, I got a lot of knitting done this weekend because Matt went on a father-sons campout in Moscow. His brother, Travis, flew up on Thursday and they stayed until Sunday night. It's weird because I'm usually alone those nights because that's when Matt works but for some reason it was more lonely knowing that he was having fun and I wasn't. Boohoo. Oh well, he's back and now he owes me a campout. Here's some pictures.

All Aboard!
We are finally blogging! This is a great system and I am so excited that Matt and Kimbre started this. I will try to get more involved and post some more recent photos of our family!
Ava is getting so big! She has started potty training and is doing okay. If we don't constantly ask her "Do you need to go potty?" she usually forgets to tell us until it's too late. But we have had some really good days too. Last Saturday she only had one wet diaper all day! So it gives me hope:)

Women Rule!.........Men Drool!
In all of my blog stalking, I come across some funny stuff and I thought I'd share some with you. Most of this is from Stephanie Hacking's blog - they are so great and funny! Anyway.... enjoy!
WOMEN'S REVENGE
'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.
As she fumbled for her wallet , I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.
'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.
'No,' she replied, 'but my husband refused to come shopping with me,
and I figured it was the most evil thing I could do to him legally.
UNDERSTANDING WOMEN
(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)
I know I'm not going to understand women.
I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,
pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root,
and still be afraid of a spider.
WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...
30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be
so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !
The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home
and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him
at 5:0 0 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00 AM ..' He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him,
when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM . Wake up.'

MARRIAGE SEMINAR
While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,
Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,
'It is essential that husbands and wives know each other' s likes and dislikes.'
He addressed the man,
'Can you name your wife's favorite flower?'
Tom leaned over, touched his wife' s arm gently and whispered, 'It's Pillsbury, isn't it?

This one is probably my favorite! :

...Fewer men act it."
"Men only have two faults: Everything they say and everything they do."
"So I went into Victoria's Secret and asked one of the bra-fitting ladies if they carried AAs. And the lady goes, 'try radioshack'."

And then a few more titled....If Women Ruled the World....
