Bathtime fun and Little Picasso II

I love how kids' minds and imaginations work. As a side note, I caught Braden determined to make a magnet stick to his belly the other day. So funny! Needless to say, it just wasn't working!

Gotta love the morning hair-do!

So... I don't have any pictures of the house yet, but we are definitely getting there as far as moving in goes. I just had to blog these cute photos of my boys painting. Braden's water paint set is nearly empty, yet he still manages to paint himself! It reminds me of picts from a year or so ago of Jacob as my "little picasso." Anyhow, just can't pass up the cuteness--CHEESE!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

So, "Monkey Boy" and Ava woke us up early with a grand announcement: "A leprechaun left his gold!" The night before, Ava set a "trap" for a leprechaun, hoping to catch one and take all of his gold. She made a house, with a door, and a trap with a lid. Then she put a cookie in it to lure the leprechaun inside. Sadly, there was no leprechaun in the morning, but we figure, he must have been so startled when he took a bite of the cookie, that he ran and dropped all of his gold! Yes, of course, that is what must have happened.
Well, Ava was VERY excited to have the gold, plus a few other goodies that were left behind for each of the kids.
Well, after all the excitement died down, we decided to go to the library. After all, if we are going to catch a leprechaun next year, we better learn more about them. Ava, Brycen and I had a wonderful time together, gathering books and reading all about little green men with gold and rainbows.
After we returned home, Ava and I tried a new recipe. Let me just say, these cupcakes are beautiful, and they taste great, BUT - they are SO not worth the work involved! I don't think we will make this a tradition. (Maybe by next year I'll want to try again!?!)
We finished the night with, you guessed it, Corned Beef & Cabbage for dinner. To my surprise, Ava LOVED it. I love this age - so much imagination and fun! Well, we hope you had a fun holiday too.

It's Official!

It's a boy AND a girl! Yay!!!

I love these next two ultrasounds because you can see both babies. In the first one they are bum to bum. In the second pict.... so the sibling rivalry begins! I think she's kicking his head! Hilarious!

It's..... BOTH!!! (At least we think so!)

So we know for sure that one of the twins is a boy. Ultrasounds for the other were a bit early and unclear, but we think it's a girl. Enjoy the photos!!

17 Weeks and counting!

Sooo.... Kimbre's at 23 weeks and I'm only at 17 weeks. Hmmmm.. good thing I'm having twins and this is my third pregnancy--sheesh!! :) Actually we're pretty excited (I think partly because I have not yet faced the REALITY of twins and am just enjoying the moment for now... but the time is soon approaching!)

Diapers Galore!

It may seem like a funny thing to be SO EXCITED about diapers... but a good deal on them is music to my ears! I took advantage of a great sale at Walgreens this week. Huggies diapers were on sale, with a register reward and a coupon... PLUS... I had a raincheck that paired perfectly with the sale. So all in all, I bought 29 packs of diapers and I paid about.... drum roll please... $3.68 each! The starting price was $8.99 each so I think I did really well! YAY!!
