Catching up

Hey everyone! So, it's been a while since I've done an update from us, and babies grow SO fast. By the way Mandy, I LOVE Brycen's army crawl-- so cute!! So.. here's a few priceless picts of my crew. Braden is doing really well, starting to look around and focus on faces more, a sweet baby. Jacob is also adjusting well and comes out saying and doing the funniest things sometimes. Love it! Jason is an awesome dad and keeps me sane. Anywho, here's some fun photos!

Soaking up the Summer!

So I thought I'd record a little of the fun we've had this week. It's been so sunny and nice outside, I feel like we have to squeeze all the fun out of this last bit of summer weather! So earlier this week Jayson got home early and decided we needed to get out so he packed us up and we went to the beach on Sauvie's Island! It was just our family and it was so fun! Dallas hung out on the blanket and the boys and Jay and I played in the water. There was a sandcastle and we played catch with a football and had such a great time! After the sun started to go down, we packed it up and went home to change and then went to Sonic (yum!) and went to a park to eat and then play. By the time we were playing it was dark and we had the park to ourselves. I love spontaneous nights that turn out so fun!! The kids loved it and we all had so much fun!

The next evening Jayson got home early again and our family and Shane and Clarissa's family went out on their boat for some skiing, wakeboarding, sky-skiing and swimming. Tons of fun and I actually got up and stayed up on my little ski! Clarissa did great on the wakeboard and the guys did some great jumps on the sky ski. Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries during the trip, so I only have a few photos. Afterwards, we hit Burgerville for dinner and it was another super fun family night!

And Friday night was another adventure. Mom and Dad invited us to go on a bike ride downtown. We got the tandems and the tagalong and trailer for the kids and had a great bike ride! The trailer and the tagalong wouldn't hook on the frame of dad's tandem so Jayson pulled them both. We had about a 15 ft. train! We got lots of looks from people but it was fun and thankfully Jayson is strong - he did a great job pulling our family along the way! We had subway for dinner and enjoyed the waterfront and the beautiful weather. =)

Mommy's Little Monkey

So Brycen is 5 months old now, and ready to take off! He rolls both ways, gets up on his knees and rocks and lunges, and now he army crawls across the room! He is getting so big so fast. I love this picture - He looks like my little monkey boy. He is so much fun!

Father and Sons Outing

Well, this is a "No Picture" blog in that it rained most of the time but just wanted to let you all know Dad went on his first Father and Sons out EVER. Amazing huh? I took Jett and Tucker to our ward outing at the Newsom Farm. What a place. It's a horse arena and stable on 140 acres about 10 miles from home. Jett and Tucker loved it. All the horses and getting to touch and feed them was pretty cool. Tucker wasn't real thrilled with that but both boys had a great time. We stayed over night on a beautiful lawn next to the barn, had hotdogs and hamburgers for dinner - no rain, and scones and eggs for breakfast - no rain. Jett loved playing with a stick in the fire keeping everyone's anxious attention and Tucker just sat in my lap soaking it all up.

The rest of the time it was pretty wet...but we had a good time anyway playing games.

We had a service project to clear a trail in their 40 acre forest for scout camps but got chased away by a swarm of angry hornets. I was spared but 4 or 5 others got some pretty bad stings. Luckily, I left the boys to play in the barn toy room. The boys were totally immersed.

Love you all...

We are thrilled to see all of your blogs keeping us up with your lives and all the wonderful blessings you enjoy.

Go Mariners!

Matt and I decided that we wanted to take a quick trip to Seattle and see a Mariner's game before the summer came to a close. We ate some yummy seafood at The Crab Pot and went to the game!
Most of the game we were behind 3-1 but in the bottom of the 9th inning we scored 2 home runs! That tied us up until the 14th inning! Finally at the bottom of the 14th inning we had two men on base and Ichiro hit a solid base hit that brought in the winning run! It was a GREAT game to be at and we can't wait to go again next season!

Baby Braden

Well, I'm having trouble getting the photo bucket to work, so here's for another try at posting Braden's birth. (drum roll please...) Woo hoo! Braden Joseph MacKay was born September 2, 2009 at 9:34 pm. He was 8lbs. 1oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Thus far he is a sweet baby, loves to sleep, and tolerates his big brother's kisses fairly well. Jacob LOVES his little brother and is very cute with him. Thanks to Jason, Mom, and all the MacKay clan here, I am bouncing back and recovering well. Here's a few photos. Love to all of you!!

A Little Late... but oh well!

So, I FINALLY downloaded some pictures from my camera and discovered that I had some really great ones from our cabin trip back in July, so.... here's a few fun ones.:)

Oops, sorry the picts are so tiny--- you'll have to click on them to see the expressions on everyone's faces-- mom's is especially good! :)

There's my man-- isn't he a stud! :)

Yahoo! Fishin' at the reservoir!

Jacob LOVED throwing rocks and playing in the dirt. We were especially excited when this little family of ducks came by. He was talking to them and throwing crackers-- loved it!

Oaks Park

I'm behind - this is a bit belated, but I wanted to share some of the fun we had. We went to Oaks Park on August 8th. It was Grandpa Kim's company party and we had such a blast! The company had a big picnic and a raffle and then we hit the rides! The best part was that Jett was tall enough for almost every ride and he loved it!!! He was so brave and wanted to try everything and it was so much fun!
Our favorite ride was the Screaming Eagle. It's a big pendulum that swings higher and higher while you spin in the circle. SO fun and Jett was just tall enough! I also like the Scrambler and ferris wheel and everyone had a great time! Thanks Grandpa for a fun day!

Jacobisms!

Just had to share this one. Kids say the funniest things sometimes--and no, he did not learn this one from me. Jacob was taking a bath, and I heard this funny sound. I saw him holding his rubber ducky and said, "Oh, was that your ducky?" He responded with "No, I tooted! Bubbles come out my bum!" Sure enough there they were! Very observant Jacob!

Some other cute Pics!

Brycen in his new Bumbo! (Yes - it's purple - but he's still a manly man!)

Tonight, Drew was playing with Brycen and when he stood him up, Brycen put one foot in front of the other and took off! Okay, he didn't exactly "take off", but my question is: how does this boy, who is not quite 4 months old, know how to put one foot in front of the other already? Does this mean I have an evil-kinevil (sp?) on my hands? What else will he get into in the coming months? My guess: EVERYTHING!
(By the way - don't you just LOVE what Ava is wearing in this video? She thinks it's a dress when really it is HALF a dress with a slip underneath. Quite the fashionista wouldn't you say? Maybe she's on to something... or not! :)

Too cute! My kids are superstars in these new sunglasses - They look ready to go biking at super-sonic speeds.......or something like that.
It must be late because I can't think of anything clever right now. I just think they're cute!

Music to my Ears!

So Brycen LOVES Ava - and she can just look at him and he smiles. Well lately - she can also make him laugh! It is so fun to watch the two of them. I knew Ava was silly - but Brycen thinks she is a class act!

Our Summer FUN!

We have had one busy week! Monday was the day we started landscaping the backyard! Brant started with the retaining wall (which he got done in about 3 hours)...

Erik did the handy-work on the extention to our patio...
All the boys helped with the shrubs, trees, mulch, etc...

And here's the finished product! (Sort of) They finished up Tuesday afternoon and it's BEAUTIFUL! All we have to do now is lay the grass seed. We couldn't thank everyone who helped enough.

Wednesday we decided to go camping with some of Matt's work buddies. We spend the night and went tubing down the CdA river on Thursday. About 2 hours into the float it started to rain but we had a great time anyway!

Today I finally took some pictures of us playing softball! It was our last game of the season and we won 10-6. We can't wait to do it again next year!

More Camping!

I love that we live close to a good camping spot so we can just go any weekend for one night and have so much fun! We took off for Brown's Camp again but this time with Mom and Dad! We all had a good time in the beautiful warm weather and enjoyed being outdoors, relaxing and having fun on the motorcycles! Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun weekend!
