MacKay Reunion at the Cabin - 4th of July

So we had a BLAST at the cabin this past weekend with all of the cousins!  A few spouses were missing, and of course Jesse and Whitney are in Canada, but all of the rest of Jason's siblings were able to make it for the 4th of July weekend.  Everyone took A MILLION pictures, and I'm sure I'll post some of those later.  But, I think this video that Davis put together sums it up best.  He has been starting to work more and more with videography and filming special events.  It's awesome.  When Jason saw it, the first thing he said was "My whole life is in that video."  I couldn't agree more-- this is what makes my heart happy.

Dallas lost a tooth!

Dallas finally lost his first tooth tonight! After being wiggly for quite a while I discovered a new tooth was starting to grow in behind his little tooth so we decided that after his bath we'd yank it out. He was a little nervous, but after a couple of tries it came out! He's excited for the tooth fairy to make a visit. He's just hoping that she's not taking this weekend off...like other weekends in the past... I told him we don't know her weekend schedule and we'll just have to wait and see!  ;)

**Update: his other bottom tooth was also wiggly and he decided to have Uncle Josh pull it out the following day! He loves having a big window in his mouth and says it feels funny! :)

Love My Firefighter!

I know I am married to one... but I have to say that firefighters are the best!  This job is one that I would NOT be willing or physically able to do!  It is hot, and hard and the hours are long and unpredictable...  This summer season has been very hot and busy for Drew and his crew.  They have battled several grass fires and house fires in recent weeks and the season is just getting started.

The Discovery Center

This summer I really wanted to teach my kids to work and to play.  So every week we have our daily chores and 1 field trip.  This week we went to the Discovery Center.  It is located in downtown Boise nestled between 2 beautiful parks.  The theme this month was Fizzy-ology, or bubbles!  I love this place because it is ALL kid-friendly.  All of the science experiments are hands on and interactive for the kids to play and learn.  So today we were covered in bubbles!

Afterwards we stepped outside to a gorgeous Idaho summer day to feed the ducks.  There is a cute man-made river that runs along the side of the Discovery center and it's always full of ducks and geese.  

Always a fun day outside with my three favorite kids in the whole world.  

July 4th Fun

We sure enjoyed having the Oakes and Rowleys spend time with us this Holiday weekend.  We played out on Lake Lowell in Jayson's boat, did some sailing with the grand-kids, and just hung out and enjoyed each other.  Grandma Louise...aka GG, spent the day with us on the 4th but decided to go home early before the fireworks via Lake Lowell.  Spontaneously, she ended up on the float tube with Charlotte and Carter.  Gotta love her...She's always up for adventure.  Maybe that's where I get it...  :o)...
