Presenting the birthday boy!  1 year has flown by and we couldn't be happier with our little man.  Carter has been such a joyous addition to our family.  Looking forward to many more years and memories with this guy.
Love you Carter!

Look who's caught!

Lately Carter has been a bottomless pit - He eats everything in sight.  After his nap, Carter decided it was snack time - and instead of letting me know like usual, he took it upon himself to get his own afternoon snack.  The pantry was open just enough for Carter to get in and find a large box of granola bars on the bottom shelf.  Somehow he managed to open the wrapper and began to devour the fudge covered bar to his complete satisfaction.  Ava, Brycen and I ran over with the camera to take a few pics of the cutest little chocolate covered baby boy we know!  Good job Carter!
Look Mom!  Who did that?

Oh, Me...hee hee!
What a stinker!

yup...sooooooo good!

Western Idaho Fair

Today was Family Day at the Western Idaho Fair!  The kids and I met Mom and GG at the fair today.  There were cows and goats and sheep, corn dogs and sno cones, and fun rides galore!  Carter wasn't so sure about this goat :)

At one point we attended and show about monkeys.  But these were no ordinary monkeys - these were VERY famous monkeys recently seen in movies with Tom Cruise and The Rock!  They were hilarious and incredibly well trained.  I think this was the highlight of my day at the fair - and the kids loved it too!

Brycen and Ava went on a few rides - but the heat was terrible so we also spent a lot of time in the air-conditioned pavillion.  Here is where all the booths are set up - yes, the shopping!  We all found something we could not possibley live without - the finally headed home after 5+ hours at the fair!

Two of the greatest kids I know! Hot & Happy!

It was nice to spend more time with Nana and GG!  Love you both!

The Caldwell Night Rodeo

Today Mom and Dad treated us to the Caldwell Night Rodeo.  It was family night so we started with a train ride at the YMCA family field, and then headed over to the grand stands for the rodeo to begin.  It was amazing!  There were kids as young as 6 doing barrel racing, roping and other competitions!  Then they moved on to an older age group - and finally the bucking broncos and the bull riders.

While it was warm - it was still a great night together!  Thanks Mom and Dad and GG for a fun night together!

Motorcycle Man

So a while back, Jayson got a cool motorcycle. Then last month, he saw a new beauty and decided to upgrade, which worked out great - he was able to sell his first one to Shane and then he drove up to Spokane and picked up his new one! It's a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500 and it is beautiful!! We have so much fun on this bike - every date night is on the motorcycle, cruising around the countryside and then finding somewhere fun to eat. Also, now that ALL of the Rowley boys have cruisers, we can all go out on a big group date or Jay will find time to go out with the boys for a group ride. SO FUN! Just this Saturday, Jayson went on a "Poker Run". It was a huge motorcycle event called Rally in the Valley where TONS of motorcycles rode through checkpoints collecting cards to get a poker hand. It was about 200+ miles round trip and he had a great time.

So, Shane has gotten into photography as well and just got some new flash equipment for his nice camera and recruited Jayson to go try it out. They hopped on their bikes and found a field to test it out. Here are some of his photos:

Jayson was so embarrassed to share photos of himself, but I think he's pretty foxy!  ;)

Oh Baby!

So during the Meyers reunion and the MacKay cabin reunion, we decided to announce our prego news by dressing the twins up in these t-shirts and letting them just walk around, until people read them and clued in.  It was hilarious to see all of the responses and surprised expressions!

My favorite was Dad's.  He had been out in the yard doing something, mom and all the rest of the sisters discovered the shirts and figured it out.  We were all sitting in the living room when he came in.  Everyone was watching as we pointed out the shirt i.e."hey dad, did you see the shirts Brookie and Ethan are wearing."  His response, "Big Brother, Big Sister.. . huh."  Trying to help him along, "Bigger than what dad???" And here's my favorite line from him: "What do you mean bigger than what?  They're both squatty kids!"  Finally Kimbre spells it out, "Bigger than something that's about 6 weeks along?!"  The look on his face was so priceless. I only wish I could have gotten it on video.   It immediately went from a light-hearted smile to open mouth, wide-eyed "HUH???"  We all just busted up laughing.  It was great!

Once we arrived back home, Grandma Dawn sent this picture out to the MacKay/Jolley cousins.  Love the guessing game attached to the email!
While we were at the cabin we were surprised with a baby announcement. In keeping with the Jolley theme of multiplying and replentishing, it looks like we're having a new grandbaby in March. Can you guess who is expecting in our family?

Go ahead and guess.

No it's not John and Sharie.

Davis and Becca? Nope.

How about Shannon and Kevin? Not them either.

Perhaps Colby and Shauna?

Uh, nope.
Could it be Grandma Dawn?

Honey, that would be a Postmenopausal miracle.
Soooo . . .

That brings us to . . .

JASON AND LISA!

Numero cinco! Yep! We are so excited!
Love,
Dawn
