Las Vegas Vacation and fun with MacKay Family

We had a wonderful time in Vegas with Lisa, Jason and Jacob, celebrating his birthday and spending some time up at the MacKay Family cabin in upper Kolob County, Utah.
Here are just a few of the best pictures of the trip.
The one above is just one of the best illustrations of a good looking boy. When eating he's quite the mess but his bib says it all - "Chick Magnet"...


Not five minutes out of the car for this picnic we had on Saturday and Jacob's in the dirt and rubbing it all over himself. Love that boy!!




Sooo Big!
Sue still holds my heart...after 32 years! We have a picture when we were dating taken in Idaho with this same pose.
On the way back from our picnic we came across 4 turkeys in the road. Not a common site but pretty cool to have gotten close enough for a good picture.
On Friday morning we all went fishing...of course the only one to land a fish is Sue :o)... We fried it up on Sunday and Wow! what a great taste! Nice 18" Rainbow.


These videos were just too cute to miss. Jacob wasn't too sure about all this singing but had a great time opening all of his presents and trying to figure out which one to play with first. Jason's sister Sherry made a cool Truck cake with marshmallow frosting and gummy bears in the back.

Silver Creek Plunge

Our First Camping Trip This Year!

We had so much fun! We went with 3 other families in our ward to silver creek, which is just up past Garden Valley and Crouch. We got to use the new tent trailer this time and boy is it nice. Much better than tent camping.


Ava had a "Camping Collection Kit" that was filled with quartz and mica and flowers of every color. She had a blast playing in the water, riding the 4-wheelers, and just gettin' dirty!


On the last day we went further down the creek to a place where a log had fallen over the creek and a deep pool had formed below it. So we spent the day jumping into the cold water and even convinced Ava to try it. What a Blast!

Brycen's Blessing

A big thanks for all the support for Brycen's blessing. It was so great to have mom and dad here with us. Ava latched onto Nana and they were buddies the whole time. The blessing was beautiful and Drew did a great job - of course! We had a luncheon afterward and then visited with family. What a beautiful day!

ABC & 123

The first one is now, the one in the tub was in May. He's been improving! :)

Jacob has been learning to count to 20. It still turns into 1,2,3,8,3,8... if I don't give him 4, but more and more it's becoming this! Hee hee! He knows that WXYZ is "the end!"

The Hulk!

Jacob was painting with watercolors again and decided to be green--transforming himself into... The Hulk! Haha!!

4th of July in Boise

We had a great time with everyone in Boise and especially Drew, Mandy, Ava, and Brycen. On Saturday morning AVA had a wonderful time in a Ward Parade on her trike in the church parking lot. Drew did a pretty good job on the decorations.

Can't wait to see Brycen and Dallas together. This boy is mellow, happy, and about as easy as they come. What a fun time.

It's been a while...

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. Matt and I don't really do much. But I thought I would post my most current project. Its slowly coming along and I'm not even close to being done. The things to do with a new house are never ending!!

BEST DEAL YET!

This is the best grocery/coupon deal I have done yet... At Albertson's they had these chunk light tuna pouches on sale for $1.25 - then marked down to .75 cents. So I bought 60 of them and , of course, I had coupons for all 60! Then at the register, it printed 12 MORE coupons for me - SO... when all was said and done - I purchased 60 pouches and only paid $3.00! (it would've cost $75.00 at the sale price.) INCREDIBLE!
