Ava's First Field Trip
I "CAN!"
More Cabin Picts with Jakey & Landon
Landon's mom, Christy was sweet enough to take some pictures with her camera since mine died early on into the trip. She just sent me these-- aren't our boys cute!! Jacob and Landon had soooo much fun playing together. Immediately when the Takos's arrived, Jacob shouted out Landon's name and they romped around the cabin playing until dinner.
I asked Christy to bring some kind of kid activity, so she brought a big roll of paper and some finger paints! Fun! By the end we had three long paintings filled with glops of color, stamps, hand prints, and foot prints. Needless to say, bathtime was next.:)

The Takos's also brought a kid-size fishing pole, and Jacob was a natural. It was amazing! All they did was show him how the button releases the line, and he figured out the rest-- casting his line way out into the water. After that, fishing was all he could talk about!

We're so grateful our boys have the blessing of making memories like these!

Smith Rock Pinnacle Climb
On a beautiful day in September, Michael Neal, Peter Kramer and I had two guides take us up a FIVE PITCH climb to the top of Smith Rock. The name of the climb is "Wherever I may wander". This was taken with Peter's iphone and you can see by the perspective that we were a good 500 feet up!
It makes my hands sweaty just to think of it! It took a while to get my rock climbing feet under me, but by the 3rd pitch I was pretty well committed. You can't just say "never mind" that far up.
This tops out my rock climbing adventures totally!
I think I'll just watch from now on... ;o)..
On to the next item on my bucket list...hmmm...

Ahhh... it was soooo nice to relax at the cabin this weekend. And, best of all we got to share it with Nana and Papa and our friends the Takos's. Everyone had so much fun! Braden was Papa's boy, Jacob and Landon were best buds, Nana got her fishing fix and some serious giggles:), Jacob learned to cast, Ruby ran to her heart's content, and Jason and I just got to relax! There is something theraputic about the mountains. I can't get enough of looking out over those vistas and breathing the pine-scented air.
